Management Assistance Projects

At the request of a trial court, management assistance projects (MAPs) may be used as a means to review court operations, including:

  • general court administration,

  • policies and procedures,

  • records retention,

  • caseload management, and

  • case processing.

  • The projects may also be used to review procedures for:
  • collection and enforcement of fines and costs,

  • probation, and

  • friend of the court and human resources.
  • Compliance with Michigan Court Rules (MCR), statutes, and Michigan Supreme Court administrative directives is also reviewed.

Findings serve as a management tool for judges and court administrators to use in making more informed decisions about present and future resource needs and to identify future goals for the court.
